Hello, I’m Benjamin Knox, and welcome to my blog! This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. In fact, I designed this website myself over a year before this post was written 😰, and it has finally come to fruition 🍇. You can see the original Figma design here, and at some point, I’ll write a post about my workflow with Figma. The main goal of this website is to share my knowledge—it’s my way of giving back to the community after years of learning from content online.

Who Am I?

I’ve been working in software in various capacities, both professionally and personally, purely out of passion. I’m particularly interested in website design and web application development. My tech stack includes PHP, Python, C#, Node.js, React, Angular, Svelte, Next.js, SvelteKit, Docker, Kubernetes, Figma, and Design Systems plus more.

On a more personal note, I am a guy who loves a good sci-fi book, show or movie anytime. I love coffee ☕️, you should check out deeper roots. Probably the best coffee I know of.

Why a Blog?

Over the years I have accumulated what I feel to be valuable experience in software and I also feel everyone has unique experience to learn from. I want to make my experience available for others to learn from as I have learned so much from others on the internet. I also have noticed that most companies I work for want documentation kept in places like confluence or google docs. These knowledge bases are often used for reference. A lot of what I write is also what I do, and I think of this website as my own personal knowledge base.
